미국의 Rock 밴드 서바이버(Survivor) 의 정규 3집에 수록된 곡으로 Survivor 밴드 입장에서는 이 곡때문에 돈 과 명성을 얻었는지는 모르겠지만 안타까운 것이 이 곡으로 인해 다른 앨범, 다른 곡들이 주목받지 못하는 현상과 실제로 헤비메탈 밴드인데 일반 팝 밴드로 여겨지면 아쉬움이 남는다. 이 앨범은 미국 빌보드 앨범차트 2위, 그리고 "Eye of the Tiger" 는 6주간 싱글차트 정상에 오른다. 

 

이어 1985년 영화 「Rocky IV」 에선 "Burning Heart" 이 영화의 Ost. 로 다시 채용이 되면서 히트 싱글로 자리매김 한다. 번외로 얘기하자면 당초에는 Queen 의 "Another One Bites the Dust" 를 영화 배경음악으로 사용하려 했으나 Queen 이 거절을 했다고 한다.
