■Il Divo (이탈리아어 발음: [il ˈdiːvo] ; 번역 "The Star)는 다국적 클래식 크로스오버 보컬 그룹이다. 2003년 12월 영국에서 시작된 남성 4중주는 테너 Urs Bühler, David Miller, Sébastien Izambard로 구성되어 있다. Carlos Marín은 COVID-19로 사망하기 전에 그룹의 일원이었다. Il Divo는 Syco Music(Sony Music의 자회사)이라는 레이블을 위해 Simon Cowell이 만들고 홍보했다.
2021년 기준으로 이 그룹은 Il Divo (2004), The Christmas Collection (2005), Ancora (2005), Siempre (2006), The Promise (2008), Wicked Game (2011), A Musical Affair 등 10개의 스튜디오 앨범을 발표했다. Amor & Pasión (2015), Timeless (2018), For Once in My Life: A Celebration of Motown (2021); 뿐만 아니라 편집 앨범, Greatest Hits (2012). 두 개의 다른 앨범 – An Evening with Il Divo: Live in Barcelona (2009) 및 Live in Japan(2014) – 라이브 콘서트 녹음을 발표했다. 이 그룹은 또한 다른 아티스트와 협업했다.
Il Divo는 창립 이래 전 세계적으로 성공을 거두며 전 세계적으로 3천만 장 이상의 앨범을 판매했다. 35개국에서 160개의 인증된 골드 및 플래티넘 히트곡을 보유한 이 그룹은 클래식 크로스오버 음악에서 오페라 팝 또는 "팝페라" 장르를 개척했다.

■카를로스 마린의 죽음
Carlos Marin은 2021년 12월 19일 COVID-19로 사망했다. Il Divo는 추모의 의미로 2022년에 Greatest Hits Tour를 수행했으며 멕시코계 미국인 바리톤인 Steven Labrie가 그룹에 합류했다.
